Since retiring to her Menominee Lake cottage with her husband in 1986, Doris Gonder has volunteered countless hours to a variety of organizations in Huntsville, most notably Fairvern Nursing Home, several churches in Baysville, the Baysville Autumn Leaves, Muskoka Seniors, the Canadian Cancer Society and Baysville Horticultural Society.

Sharon Wilson of Novar is the driver of the Huntsville Transit specialty bus for passengers with special needs and also of a school bus that takes students to Huntsville High School, Riverside and St. Mary's schools.
